SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — As many are finalizing plans for their Thanksgiving meals, one mother is planning for one less at the dinner table.
J.J. Clavo, 17, was gunned down not far from his high school in Del Paso Heights nearly two weeks ago. Police have yet to come up with a motive or a suspect in the ensuing weeks.

Clavo was set to play in a playoff football game on Nov. 13, but hours before kickoff, he and a teammate were shot in a car that was sprayed with bullets.
Nicole Clavo is asking for a gift this holiday season—answers surrounding her son’s death. The reward money aimed at providing those answers keeps growing.
“I’m still in denial that my baby is not going to walk through that door,” she said. “I definitely did not think that I would be burying my child, never in a million years did I imagine that.”
